Will We Call Him Prime Minister Sh*t-for-Brains Someday?

On Sunday, Feb. 23 Liberal leader Justin Trudeau joked on a Quebec talk show that he was worried Russia might intervene in the crisis in Ukraine because its' hockey team had lost in the Olympics and it was in a bad mood.
On Friday Feb. 28 under the guise of military exercises Russia has brought troops into Crimea in an armed invasion.
Is this about freedom or gazprom?

THE NEW AND IMPROVED PPS

CFFO reactions to Ontario’s Updated Provincial Policy Statement

At long last, the Ontario government has released the new Provincial Policy Statement...
The CFFO is pleased...
The CFFO is disappointed...
The CFFO looks forward to ensuring that the new policies are ones that are workable for agriculture...
Life as a puppet on a string must be a real bitch, eh?

HEY GERRY! YA FORGOT THE WORD "BELEAGUERED"

Invest: old Blackfoot word meaning "take poor guy's wampum and give to rich guys".
Government of Canada Invests in Dairy Processing Sector...again:

"Ottawa, Ontario, February 27, 2014 – Parliamentary Secretary Pierre Lemieux, on behalf of Agriculture Minister Gerry Ritz, will be in St-Eugene, Ontario on Friday, February 28, to make an announcement in support of Canada's dairy processing sector."

COULD PIERRE'S PUP ACTUALLY BE RIGHT ABOUT SOMETHING?

Turdo la Doo has been taken to task for saying that "Canada's middle class" (which he knows nothing about) is in worse shape now than it ever was.

The government mugs gleefully trundled out recent stats that shows net worth of the middle class has actually increased 45 percent in the last fifteen years.

But when is net worth not net worth?  When it is based on grossly inflated real estate values.

Pity that poor Turdo la Doo doesn't have the brains to figure that out, or the guts to say it.

STILL IN THE HABIT OF CHECKING THE LONG TERM WEATHER FORECAST?

You may as well read the hog's entrails for the same accuracy.

"Government Weather and Climate Forecasts Are Failures.", according to Dr. Tim Ball.

CANADA WILL BE A SAFER PLACE WHEN....

...psychiatrists have to turn their homes into half-way houses for 'recovered' lunatics.
"Doctors are recommending increased freedom for Vince Li, the mentally ill man found not criminally responsible for a random killing on board a Greyhound bus."

IF YOU BELIEVE STRUGGLING SMALL BUSINESSES SHOULD BAIL OUT UNION FAT CATS...

...you might be a Conservative.

CONVERSION.

There's backwards...
Dear President Obama,
"As people of faith, we share your conviction that we are commanded by God to care for our planet and that the failure to respond to the threat of climate change would betray our children and future generations. It is in agreement with those statements that we...write to share our concern over the proposed Keystone tar sands pipeline."

...and there's forwards.
"There is no scientific evidence that human activity is causing the planet to warm, according to Greenpeace co-founder Patrick Moore, who testified in front of a Senate committee on Tuesday."

THE END OF FINANCIAL PRIVACY

Over the weekend, UNELECTED representatives from the 34 member OECD (Organization for Economic Co-Operation and Development), of which Canada is a member, announced plans for world governments to exchange ALL their citizen's tax and financial data with one another. Doesn't that just give you a warm and fuzzy feeling?

DON'T WORRY, WE'LL GET AROUND TO IT

Think about buying stock in grain storage companies.
Why?
Well, if the railroads don't move the damned grain, the mill customers are going to find an alternate source. And they won't come back. Once burned, twice shy, ya know?
So, this "temporary constipation" will turn into a chronic glut as buyers lose confidence and Canadian farmers lose market share.

WASTE OF TIME STEPHEN

It went right over his head and bounced off his mirror.

WHEN QUEBEC FINALLY FINDS THE BALLS TO GO...

...our cringing English language journalists / apologists should take a bow.

From the Gazette:
"Je m’excuse. I’m sorry. That was so rude, daring to offer you the choice of service in the language in which you feel most comfortable. Trust me. It will happen again.
This is Montreal. Ici on parle everything."

From the National Post:
"Premier Pauline Marois has rolled out certain policies that could be described as more xenophobic than racist, particularly where it relates to language. "

You know you're well and truly screwed when your anglo-rights flag-bearers meekly comply with the racist 'French text must predominate' edicts of Bill 101.

CHEERLEADERS! WHAT A FICKLE BUNCH!

Oh how they whistled...
"The Save Ontario’s Species (S.O.S.) coalition was formed in 2005 by five conservation groups – David Suzuki Foundation, Environmental Defence, Ontario Nature, Sierra Legal Defence Fund (now EcoJustice) and CPAWS-Wildlands League. The groups came together to support a major updating of the province’s outdated and ineffectual Endangered Species Act. The coalition worked over the course of approximately 18 months to capitalize on a commitment made by Dalton McGuinty, now Premier of Ontario, in the lead up to the 2003 provincial election."

and cheered...

"Ontario's Green Energy and Green Economy Act, 2009 was passed on May 14, 2009. Ontario Nature fully supports the vision that underlies the legislation, which is to make Ontario a world leader in the development of clean and renewable energy."

But now, their beloved Green Energy Act has got their little pom-poms in a twist.
"...Nature Canada, Ontario Nature, Environment Canada, the Suzuki Foundation, the Sierra Club, the Audubon Society, Bird Life International and the Royal Society for the Protection of Birds agree that Ostrander Point is the worst place for wind turbines.

NO SHIT SHERLOCK

It took you only 10 years to catch on Ernie.

"But Hardeman says high hydro rates and a mountain of red tape and regulations are choking provincial farmers and food processors."

ONTARIO: OLD SARCEE WORD MEANING "PLACE WHERE DUMB LANDOWNERS HELP GOVERNMENT STEAL THEIR LANDS"

Your tax dollars - paying for someone to write this snot and drivel:

"The goal of the 50 Million Tree Program is to sequester carbon; enhance and diversify southern Ontario’s landscape; increase adaptive capacity to withstand climate change; moderate local climate by providing shade, moderating temperature extremes and reducing the effects of storms; increase wildlife habitat; increase soil and water conservation, and provide local economic opportunities."

Step right up folks! All you have to do is:
Sign a 15-year management agreement to maintain the trees...

Let me finish that sentence for ya:

...and you will have officially classified your property as Significant Wildlife Habitat and lost its use and value for ever and ever.

PAGING ALL cONSERVATIVE SCOTS !!!

Don't you just love attending those fiscally and socially conservative conferences...

...with really great conservative speakers....

...that have a built-in "I been screwed - I want my money back" clause?

ALL THE NEWS YOU'LL EVER NEED....

...will be determined by your government.

"On Fox News today, Shannon Bream has been reporting on the Federal Communications Commission's plans to put government monitors in TV and radio newsrooms to assess their coverage of eight "critical information needs", and "underserved populations".

You vill vatch it, und you vill enchoy it!

HANDLING JEW KILLERS, THEN AND NOW

Betcha these old Nazis do harder time than their modern counterparts...

LEGAL OPINION:

Old Democrat phrase meaning "if you excuse them, they will vote for us".
"A few weeks after the federal Departments of Education and Justice sent letters to public schools advising them to discipline misbehaving students more or less harshly according to their race...the policy favored by President Barack Obama, Attorney General Eric Holder and Education Secretary Arne Duncan. ...But earlier this week, two members of the U.S. Commission on Civil Rights wrote to Holder and Duncan expressing their disagreement with the letter. Both the legal opinion and the policy prescription are wrong..."

OPP CHECK FORMER HEAD RAT's DELETED EMAILS

"Ontario Provincial Police executed a search warrant Wednesday as part of their investigation into the deletion of emails on cancelled gas plants by staff in former premier Dalton McGuinty's office."

Hey guys, I know it might be a little embarrassing, but since you're in there anyways lookin' around, can you see if there are any emails about this?

ANOTHER OUTPOST OF HOPE...

"A new anti-union group has sprung up just as the Progressive Conservatives threaten to make labour issues a key ballot question in the next election...Working Canadians wants to raise awareness about the influence of “union bosses” on the province."

...in a vast desert of stupidity

QUICK TIM, SAY SOMETHING REALLY STUPID

"...a new IPSOS Reid/CTV News poll has found that the Progressive Conservatives have taken a slight lead over the Liberals and the NDP."

like this, and this, and this, and....

CANADA: OLD MALISEET WORD MEANING "LAND OF WHIMPERING PUSSIES"

Does anyone know how to say "go **** yourself" anymore?

A student at McGill University in Montreal, Canada was forced to issue a formal apology for emailing a picture of President Obama kicking open a door–all because some students thought the image was somehow racist.

FINALLY! LOTS OF PROPANE......

...in time for summer BBQ season in Canada
"The line moves propane from Canada — 40 percent of the state’s supply — but in April, pipeline operator Kinder Morgan will reverse the flow northward in order to carry diluting agents to the oil sands fields in Canada."

Friday, February 14, 2014

I'S DA B'Y DAT BUILDS.....

...nuttin' at all
The number of welfare recipients in the country have declined since the mid 1990s but they've remained higher in Ontario, at 7.6% of its population in 2012....Only Newfoundland, which sits at an 8.9% welfare rate, was higher than Ontario

WHEN IS A LOSER NOT A LOSER?

When you run a "a hard-fought campaign".

IS HUDAK A PRIVATE PROPERTY RIGHTS GUY?

Remember how the Ontario PC constitution states that "We believe that economic freedom, entrepreneurial spirit and the right to private property are essential to economic prosperity and political freedom"?
How did Commie Tim broker the deal that had Infrastructure Ontario trading its $800,000 development rights to the Conservation Authority for a measly "$1 per year" 20-year lease?
How hard will he work to protect the private property rights and investments of rural Ontario families when the NDP and pinko "environmentalists" come back for more?

GENDER CONFUSION IN AGRICULTURE

"There is need to find ways to ensure that collective action on the part of farmers is flexible enough to allow innovation to flourish, and there is the need to re-examine where government intervention is required and either re-affirm our position or consider changes that better reflect today’s farming reality."
Snort, snigger, BWAHAHAHA!
How does that old country song go? Oh yes: "He'd say you've got to stand for something or you'll fall for anything..."

TIME TO INVENT AN ELECTRONIC MINNOW COUNTER...

Now
"Bridge company president Dan Stamper said Thursday it was a “proud” moment for management and owners of the Ambassador Bridge after nearly eight years of working toward getting EA (environmental) approval in Canada for a new span."

And then
In March 1942, after striking a deal to build through Canadian territory, the U.S. Army broke ground. Just eight months later, the project (Alcan Highway) was complete.

THERE'S NO COINCIDENCE LIKE A DAMNED COINCIDENCE

Now don't go jumping to conclusions
"...$1.5 million ended up in Swiss bank accounts of a former head of the Federal Bridge Corp. (FBC) shortly after SNC-Lavalin was awarded a $127-million contract to refurbish a Montreal bridge."

because....

Bahhhhhhhh! Qui, moi?  Non, non, non!  Jamais!
"But the report says Michel Fournier, the former FBC head, has denied he was involved in any kickback scheme."Radio-Canada says Fournier told the program, which was to be broadcast Thursday night, that he never had the accounts and that he never received a penny from SNC-Lavalin"

Ahhhhh... tu parles du mon autre compte Suisse...mais ce n'est pas la mienne!

"Fournier called them at a later date to say he did open a bank account by the name of Zorro. He said he opened it for his sister-in-law because she wanted to hide money from her new partner.  Radio-Canada said Fournier told them he didn't know where the deposits in the account came from."

HUDAK. HAS TO BE MORE TO IT THAN JUST STUPIDITY

Questions our MSM won`t ask.
79 rural Ontario municipalities have banned win turbines, so why have Ontario's "Conservatives" nominated this guy in the riding of Newmarket-Aurora?

and...
Did you ever associate with the commies in your youth?

Damn.  At least MacLean and Burgess were subtle and skillful at it.

CHRYSLER: ONLY ONE WAY TO HANDLE A THREATENING BEGGAR

E! Marchionne!  Was you dat wiseguy in da Godfawda?

Chrysler Group chairman Sergio Marchionne says he’s optimistic the auto maker can reach a deal with the Canadian and Ontario governments that would see the company make its largest investment ever in Canada. However, he also warned that other jurisdictions want the car company’s business...Marchionne said of his talks with Prime Minister Stephen Harper.  Canada can’t afford to “be a guppy in shark-infested waters. This is not a game for the faint-hearted.”

NP HEADLINE: BUDGET:MAKES LIFE MORE AFFORDABLE FOR "MOST VULNERABLE"

You know, the perpetually begging crowd....
"The largest single line item is an additional $500-million over two years for the Automative Innovation Fund, much of which appears to be destined for Chrysler’s minivan plant expansion in Windsor. Critics might argue this is closer to corporate welfare than investment in cutting edge technology."

Hey Harper, tell these guys they'll just have to wear that old tuxedo for another year or two.

"On average, Canadian auto-sector workers make about $35 an hour—$72,000 a year—plus benefits."

After all, we know what happens when you give addicts free crack.

Tuesday, February 11, 2014

WAIT TILL 'TIGER' TIM HUDAK HEARS ABOUT THIS

"The provincial government would have us believe it is taking steps to manage rapidly rising electricity costs. Meanwhile, in the background, they are pushing 55 wind turbine projects through the Renewable Energy Approval process, projects  that will add $1.1 billion per year to Ontario’s electricity costs. "

He'll give them the cold shoulder, silent, treatment.

TOBACCO TAX INCREASE: OLD AKWASASNE TERM MEANING "NEED NEW SPEEDBOAT"

"The federal government is substantially hiking taxes on cigarettes, chewing tobacco and cigars — a move that is sure to leave Canadian smokers fuming and could lead to an increase in contraband sales."

Monday, February 10, 2014

HEY MANITOBA! ARE YOU TRYING TO OUT-SQUANDER ONTARIO?

When Mr. Lane wrote "our thriving provincial neighbours", I don't think he was gazing with envy into the sunrise over Lake Of The Woods...

AW SHUCKS. I HAD SUCH HIGH HOPES FOR WYNNE'S SOUND FISCAL MANAGEMENT

Hey everyone! The Ontario Lieberals made a promise to eliminate the deficit...
“Mr. Speaker, let me make it clear,” Sousa said, “Our government believes eliminating the deficit is the single most important step we can take to grow the economy and create jobs.”
But then they changed their minds. Shocker!
Talent for pseudologia fantastica must be a prerequisite in the Young Liberal Handbook.
Here are some tips to help avoid electing another one...

CANADA'S AUTO INDUSTRY. DONT YOU JUST HATE IT WHEN....

...your flat-broke and busted government keeps pissing away your $$$ on corporate welfare...

...and, the press makes the Ontario's NDP sound like Conservatives...
"Andrea Horwath said she’s concerned that any public money injected into Chrysler, or the private sector, will not create long-term jobs.“The last thing we need is to put that investment forward and have companies that pull out or send the jobs somewhere else,”

...and, they make Ontario's Conservatives sound like the NDP
"PC Leader Tim Hudak said he would look at any company request for financial support on an individual basis."

TOYOTA GOING UNDER DOWN UNDER...DEATH BY CHRONIC UNIONITIS?

Toyota will stop making cars and engines in Australia by the end of 2017
"Toyota have made no requests to us other than express their frustration with the difficulty they were having with the industrial relations process," he (Industry Minister Ian Macfarlane) said, when asked whether Toyota had sought financial assistance or other forms of aid.

Industrial relations process: old Aborigine term meaning "duck and point".
"...said Australia Council of Trade Unions (ACTU) Secretary David Oliver."They've (the government) done absolutely nothing to keep Toyota in this country,"

And finally, the exact cause that always manages to elude the MSM...
Toyota's decision follows the planned exits of General Motors and Ford announced last year and would leave no global automaker remaining in Australia as high costs and a strong currency make it an unattractive production base. In contrast, global automakers have been building new factories and ramping up capacity in countries like Indonesia, where a burgeoning middle class and lower costs make it an increasingly attractive production base.

PAEDOPHILE: OLD OJIBWAY WORD FOR "PLEASE NO GRANDPA"

Guess where you can find an elder in the community who is prized as a teacher "of what is right and what is wrong."

WHAT''S THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN A cONSERVATIVE AND A PROGRESSIVE CONSERVATIVE?

conservatives have the guts to speak the truth and stick to their guns.

"For some time now, Ontario politicians have been acting as the spoiled third generation, consuming the financial fortunes and equity our ancestors created, while holding the values and economic lessons that produced that wealth in contempt. The first of the third generation policies occurred during the Bill Davis years...
The present political generation, like the first, is also a reflection of the people today. For the first time historically, Ontario is now a have-not province, with relatively high unemployment and rising social costs. Although this political generation has not consumed all our fortune and equity, they are on the path to do so."

While PCs act more like this.

YUP - THAT'LL WORK

Used to be, arseholes were just thrown out of the rink. Nice folks left in peace.
Now, we force ALL hockey parents to take a course in manners or their kids can't play.
At least one parent or guardian of each player registered in minor hockey in the OMHA will be required to complete the Respect in Sport - Parent Program as a condition of participation.
Makes sense. Coaches have been forced to take these courses for years and it's working like a charm! http://youtu.be/XjcrnVCG8gE
Time to get the hell out of government-funded sports, eh?

CALL THE WORLD HEALTH ORG.! A TERRIBLE VIRUS STALKS PARLIAMENT HILL!

"...federal government employees are absent an average of 18.2 days per year [11.5 days were paid]...the government spends $871-million every year so that 19,000 public servants can stay home on any given day."

Maybe it's all the germs they're exposed to during annual holidays and stats...

Or, it could be be a morale issue, you know, crappy wages and benefits...
"Ottawa’s average cost of employing a full-time worker, including wages and benefits, doubled between 2002/03 and 2012/13 from $66,500 to $127,400."

Because it just can't be the long, grueling hours....

LIBERALS AND THE MINIMUM WAGE

Nathan Stevens is General Manager and Director of Policy Development for the Christian Farmers Federation of Ontario. Nathan and the CFFO are supportive of the Ontario Liberal Government's "decision regarding the future of the minimum wage in the province with an increase to $11 an hour effective June 1st. Furthermore, the Liberal government intends to pass into legislation annual increases based on the rate of inflation as indicated by the Consumer Price Index (CPI)."
Nathan concludes: "The CFFO believes that the Liberal government’s decision regarding the minimum wage is a fair and reasonable one for both workers and businesses. It provides predictable increases that both businesses and wage earners can count on and plan for accordingly. The CFFO believes that agriculture sector will find ways to adjust their businesses to the new reality."
Has Nathan done his homework? What are his thoughts about the effect of "quantitative easing" and other means of currency debasement upon unskilled workers and their employers?

GREENIES OPPOSE PIPELINES > USA TAKES OUR GRAIN SALES

Ah, the law of unintended consequences!
NGO opposition to new oil pipelines cause diversion of crude onto rail.
New crude oil tanker cars displace grain cars on trains.
In the East (and far West as well), Canadian feed mills can't get Prairie grain at reasonable prices or at a reasonable rate of supply. The issue is most noticeable in the oat market, now experiencing highest prices since 2008...if you can deliver.
Meanwhile, farmers on the Canadian Prairies have suffered depressed basis bids and storage problems due to record yields and the railroad bottleneck.
Now, our best foreign grain buyers are turning their backs on Canadian wheat because delivery is late, and they're buying US wheat instead, further exacerbating our inland glut.
All thanks to folks like this!

NEW US FARM BILL SAVES MONEY!

Whew! That was hard work, but we've trimmed the fat Mr. President, and we've got the plan down to about a 100 billion dollars a year...
Now how do I get me one o' them EBT cards? It'd be handy to use for snacks durin' them boring congressional hearings...

TORSTAR CUE TO HORVATH: TIME TO PUNCTURE WYNNEBAG

When the Trawna Star starts writing headlines like this:

Kathleen Wynne fails to act on growing health-care mess....Radical surgery is needed to reform Ontario’s troubled health-care system.

You just know the inter-socialist orgy days are numbered.

WHO SAYS THAT THE PQ LACKS SENSITIVITY?

Quebec premier livid at calls to drag husband before commission...I wonder why?
"The controversy erupted after a 2009 wiretap...suggested the then-president of the Quebec Federation of Labour (QFL)was ready to enlist the aid of the Parti Quebecois to help thwart a corruption probe. In the recording, now ex-president (QFL) Michel Arsenault is overheard saying the union has a "deal with (Marois' husband) Blanchet."

CORN STOVES IN IOWA - BACK IN DEMAND?

So let's review. Iowa grows corn. A decade ago, too much corn. Surplus makes corn too cheap. Farmers poor. Iowa senators and congressmen in Washington lobby for corn-ethanol policy. Energy independence. Green renewables. Kick-start subsidies. Mandatory 10% ethanol to gasoline blend edict. A brand new age!
2010: Ethanol gobbles up 40% of US corn production. Corn price boom. Production expands dramatically. Sensitive CRP set-aside land converted back to corn production. Other grain prices rise - economic law due to competition for land use and arbitrage. Meat prices rise due to feed grain scarcity. Food riots around the world.
Iowa Corn Harvest 2013: Corn grain typically needs artificial direct-fired drying, using clean-burning propane or natural gas.
Iowa Winter 2014: Now we got da ethanol for da SUV, but no propane for da house. It's a crazy old world, ain't it?

A LESSON IN CANADIAN PROPERTY RIGHTS: MCGILL LAW JOURNAL

Since Trudeau's Canadian Charter of Rights and Freedoms neglected to explicitly provide protection of private property, Canadian's have wondered where they stand, exactly, when they are denied a "permit", suffer "injurious affection" through land-use planning, or are otherwise abused by discriminatory regulations.
Recently, our friends at the Ontario Landowners Association have passed along a 1989 McGill Law Journal article that correctly identifies Provincial Statutory Law as the enabler of "injurious affection" and associated regulatory takings.
This is why we at the Canadian Landowner Alliance endeavor to have protective property rights legislation enacted in our Canadian Provincial Legislatures as a counterbalance to typical modern-day "environmental legislation" which often contain "No Remedy" clauses such as this in Ontario:
No costs, compensation or damages are owing or payable to any person and no remedy, including but not limited to a remedy in contract, restitution, tort or trust, is available to any person
and/or
Nothing done or not done in accordance with this Act or the regulations made under it constitutes an expropriation or injurious affection for the purposes of the Expropriations Act or otherwise at law

AS IT IS IN CANADA, SO SHALL IT BE ALL OVER THE "FREE" WORLD...

"But every single day, special interests convince the government to use its power to take opportunity away from those with fewer resources and less power, in order to enrich themselves more. They lobby to limit the entrepreneur’s ability to start a business, prohibit families from getting their kids a good education, silence voters and activists, and deny property owners the right to keep what rightfully belongs to them."
And...
It is time for the left and right to come together and end this assault on the vulnerable.

Sorry Christina, everyone has more important stuff to do.  Count the "superbowls" on the left side to get some sense of the public's (and our media's)priorities.

ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT...OR FOREIGN AID?

If we do it once to "bypass opponents"
"The Canadian government plans to start buying land in Detroit for the U.S. portion of a new bridge linking the nations...a move that bypasses opponents of the project and comes as the U.S. government hasn’t yet allocated money."

... I sure hope we haven't set a precedent!
All that’s left in the bureaucratic process is for the administration to decide whether the pipeline is in the U.S.’s “national interest.”

KINSELLA TO JUSTIN

You're not bright enough to be PM...

"Last week, Justin Trudeau looked like a participant in a Model Parliament.
Not a prime minister."

...and you just don't have the qualities and friends that it really takes.

THE AMERICAN DREAM...DENIED!

As in Canada, and as in all of History's littered trail of failed states, political corruption brings a concentration of power and wealth to deny opportunity for the honest hard-working common man or woman.
In 2011, Prof. G. William Domhoff wrote Who Rules America: An Investment Manager's View on the Top 1%  and recently added an update here.
As a refresher, what did the Founding Fathers say about sound money?

POLITICIANS' LYING FINALLY DIAGNOSED

It's their blood sugar...
"She said she was suffering from undiagnosed diabetes at the time, which caused her to forget she had ordered the invitations be sent."

So, all North American insulin supplies have been diverted to Harvard....
"Without a doubt, Dalton McGuinty is the most scandal-plagued, tax-spend-and-waste, unethical, integrity-deficient Premier that Ontario has ever had in its entire history. "
