YUP - THAT'LL WORK

Used to be, arseholes were just thrown out of the rink. Nice folks left in peace.
Now, we force ALL hockey parents to take a course in manners or their kids can't play.
At least one parent or guardian of each player registered in minor hockey in the OMHA will be required to complete the Respect in Sport - Parent Program as a condition of participation.
Makes sense. Coaches have been forced to take these courses for years and it's working like a charm! http://youtu.be/XjcrnVCG8gE
Time to get the hell out of government-funded sports, eh?

  1. The saddest part of it all is, not one parent will object. They'll all line up like good little sheep.

  2. They already have 'lined up' like good little sheep. Many kiddie soccer leagues in AB have mandatory parent clinics.

I compare this treating adults like children to the odd incompetent teacher I had who would punish the whole class because the teacher wasn't smart enough figure out which little dink lobbed a spitball when at her when her head was down.

But as Kmac points out, adults are meekly taking this childish punishment like little kids. As Shawn says there is only one caution that is necessary at the start of a season. If you create a disturbance, you'll get tossed.
