Shake those Pom-Poms Yay, Yay, Yay!

  1. Holy cow, are you Ontario guys ever screwed with that boot-licking Wales guy. I've heard some dripping suckholes in my life, but he takes the cake. Makes you kinda shudder with shame to think you're a member of the same species.

    1. It's been like that for 20 years. He's just the latest in a long line of OFA whiffle-sniffers. The other Ontario farm groups aren't any better. But, our farmers have the same disease that the rest of Canada has: too comfortable or lazy or chicken to stand up and yell.

As for the colleges closing, you simply have to close an educational facility when the student/teacher ratio gets too close to 1:1. Has anyone asked the question why enrollment is dropping? Wonder if has anything to do with, "there's no use going to college to learn how to be a farmer because I'll never be able to afford quota and land."

  2. I went to Kemptville College 20 years ago. It was kind of a joke. I majored in Labatt's and minored in puking just like everyone else in my class. within a few years of graduating I learned that my diploma made me eligible for jobs that didn't require a diploma.

  3. I have no link for this information...just what I heard on CFRA radio this morning. Enrollment at french language Alfred College is 60 students...1/2 of which are "out of province" (residents of Quebec students most likely).
So we are keeping a whole multi-year diploma program college going for 30 Ontario kids?
What is THAT cost in comparison to what the education costs are at KCAT per student?
Dollars to donuts Alfred stays open in the end and Kemptville closes....

    1. But, we knew that was going to happen, didn't we?

It happened so quickly that it can mean only one thing: Alfred's salvation was orchestrated to make it look like it was just one of those lucky coincidences. Is there a word for planned serendipity?

  4. The OFA, NFU and CFFO are just like Alan Rock. Everything he has ever done has turned out to be an absolute disaster, and everything these lapdogs support will ALWAYS turn out to be a disaster. You can bet on it.
