The Canadian Landowner Alliance advocates for provincial legislation that recognizes property rights, and, that the Federal Government of Canada enshrines property rights in the Charter of Rights and freedoms.
Ontario Liberals did not want to accept the final payment on the Debt Retirement Charge on your Hydro bill, so they devised a solution to that problem. Clever, eh?
I'm no lawyer, but a class action lawsuit involving everyone who gets a hydro bill, and targeting every low-life involved in this theft, should be in the making. This is blatant theft - including an attempt to hide it from the public and keep it off the books. The perps need to be ruined financially, and punished criminally.

I figure they could probably keep doing this for a century or two before anyone would think of stopping them.
