The Canadian Landowner Alliance advocates for provincial legislation that recognizes property rights, and, that the Federal Government of Canada enshrines property rights in the Charter of Rights and freedoms.
The usual parasites opposing it of course. Granted tax concessions and grant monies by the very same economy they are trying to destroy. Mostly funded by large Yank trusts and foundations that are tied to Yank corporations with vested interests in seeing that Canadian projects fail.
It is a real pity that a company that builds and maintains its own pipelines has to go through this stupid charade just because it wants to throw the shifter in reverse.
Oh come on now Saul! You know damned well that large, greedy corporations (to say nothing of individual citizens) can't be trusted to make decisions that could affect the body politic and the "public interest" without stringent oversight. The Progressives have been drilling that into our collective consciousness for over a century now. Resistance is futile!
If you subscribe to the theory that agriculture is the burning of energy into food then the arrival of Western Canada crude east is a big step towards Canadian food sovernty. No more "tensions in the Middle East" to screw up supply and delivery....and it will sure be nice to fill the tractor fuel tank with diesel made from crude from Canadian sources! Bring it on lads! We'll burn it!
