The Canadian Landowner Alliance advocates for provincial legislation that recognizes property rights, and, that the Federal Government of Canada enshrines property rights in the Charter of Rights and freedoms.
As the government grows, so grow the intrusions. Abstract? Perhaps. But note the recommendations for managing the ivy - even if you like it: Essentially, keep it small and under control. If it gets too big, kill it. (see American Constitution for how-to instructions)
