I can show my kids that video to reinforce what I taught them: First rule when someone hands you a firearm: assume it's loaded and ready to fire. Don't touch the trigger. Then: 2) safe muzzle control / check the trigger lock and/or hammer, etc. 3) check the chamber and magazine. ie. verify there are no live rounds and no risk of accidental discharge before working the action and pulling the trigger like this idiot did. Lawsuit? This guy should be hiding in abject embarrassment. Especially as a trained former law officer. Geez!
Yes he is a horses ass but the store is will be found negligent by having a loaded firearm in the display case and handing it to a customer as if it was unloaded. They would have done the same thing to a civilian.
