That's exactly what I was thinking rmac. The cops now seem to think that they deserve exclusive right to possess and discharge firearms to thwart crime, for self defense or protection of property. That's nuts! History, modern statistics, and common sense all show that armed citizens capable of self defense are the most effective deterrent to would-be criminals. Police should be a handy source of backup support.
