The Canadian Landowner Alliance advocates for provincial legislation that recognizes property rights, and, that the Federal Government of Canada enshrines property rights in the Charter of Rights and freedoms.
A private property owner would be damned if he did and damned if he didn't. If you tried to block turbines on neighbouring properties because you had a sage grouse nesting site on your land you might stop the windmill but you wouldn't be plowing anymore.
