This is true at least 99 times out of a hundred. Some comedian said that politics is just show business for ugly people, and he was right. Show me a politician and I'll show you somebody who loves the limelight and the power.
I think it is something like little man syndrome that pulls people into politics. They think that by getting elected it really makes them "somebody". I think it just makes them something, not somebody. They don't see the whore part, but that is the way it usually turns out, isn't it?

DeleteI have known our MP and MPP since school. They were attention seeking dinks then and they are worse now.
