NFU(O) & OFA SUPPORT CLIMATE CHANGE ACTION PLAN

The National Farmers Union of Ontario (NFU-O) and the Ontario Federation of Agriculture (OFA) have both come out in support of the provincial Climate Change Action Plan.
The NFU-O called the plan “a tangible way for Ontario to meet its new greenhouse gas emissions goals,” and the OFA described it as “a significant commitment to the health and well-being of the planet,” adding that it “looks forward to the opportunities for the agriculture industry.”

  2. Ian Cumming wrote a column in Ontario Farmer a few weeks ago about a farmer who was bellyaching because he was paying $5,000.00 a month in electricity bills. I'll bet that farmer has never taken a strip off his OFA reps, never wrote a letter to his MPP, and never had a thought about actually protesting.

  3. My husband and I stopped going to OFA meetings a few years ago. We were the only ones who spoke up about what was happening and we were the only ones who told our local OFA bosses to do something. Everybody else kept their heads down and looked uncomfortable. What is wrong with people?
