ONTARIO GOV'T CRACKDOWN ON TEXTING & DRIVING

The Ontario government wants to start suspending the drivers’ licences of people caught texting at the wheel and jailing drivers who kill people while driving carelessly
The Canadian Automobile Association, which speaks up for drivers, is as rigid in condemning the habit as anybody. If you’re texting and driving specifically, you’re 23 times more likely to be in a crash or dangerous near-miss as an undistracted driver. A quarter of car crashes involve a person on a phone. If you’re fooling around with your phone at the wheel, you might as well be doing tequila shots.
