REVIEWING WITNESS TESTIMONY IN BOUSHIE TRIAL

Crown Prosecutor Bill Burge told a jury this week to expect “serious contradictions” in how witnesses described the events surrounding the day Colten Boushie died.
That’s exactly what has unfolded at Battlefords Court of Queen’s Bench during the first week of Gerald Stanley’s second-degree murder trial.
Two people who were in an SUV with Boushie on the afternoon Boushie was fatally shot in the vehicle admitted Thursday to lying in police statements. One also said he lied under oath during Stanley’s preliminary hearing.
