ONTARIO AG DELIVERS LAUGHABLE MESSAGE

Toronto Sun:  The Kathleen Wynne Liberal government has put new rules and training in place to ensure that “deletion of documents that may have happened in the past does not take place ever again,” Ontario Attorney General Yasir Naqvi says.
NDP Energy Critic Peter Tabuns said there were already rules in place to protect documents at the time of the illegal purge – the Liberals wrote them.
“They ignored their own laws,” he said.
PC MPP Vic Fedeli said Wynne’s first act as premier was to cancel the gas plant hearings that uncovered the widespread destruction of documents, despite outstanding legislative committee and freedom of information orders that the premier’s office turn over all records related to the $1-billion cancellation of gas plants in Mississauga and Oakville.
“So Kathleen Wynne was quite responsible for the fact that we never got to the truth in our hearings,” Fedeli said.
